Artists Choice: Acatal (the guy on the left) found himself into a hidden interdimensional portal in the storm drain; leading to the Rimelands, which are ruled by Arka, the winged con. Arka doesn't take too kindly to this, seeing as she believed this entrance had long been closed, and assuming Acatal was there with ulterior motives.
spoiler, later in the story acatal can't find a way back home, moves in with arka and they become really close :) just not a nice first meeting.
